SCG favorites, some of the tastiest & productive tomato plants we have grown:
mammoth german gold- a new SCG favorite! large, orange, heirloom tomato with a sweet flavor. high production, stays well ripe on the vine, great counter life. indeterminate. (15 seeds per pack).
san marzano - plum type similar to a roma but san marzanos are generally preferred for their richer, sweeter, and less acidic flavor, as well as their meatier texture with fewer seeds. indeterminate. (15 seeds per pack).
costoluto genevese - what a tomato! an italian heirloom tomato from Genoa. delicious! rich, tangy, with a hint of sweetness, heavily ribbed semi flattened. indeterminate plant is vigorous, produces abundant fruit (20 seeds per pack).
black beef f3 - this Beautiful dark tomato appears to be a cross between a big beef and a black beauty. it darkens to black much sooner than a black beauty, it is sweet & smoky. excellent extended season plant, end of november still producing a small amount of tomatoes with our lows already in the upper 38-ish range. indeterminate. (10 seeds per pack).
tasty ruby - this is a new variety that came out of a miss marked seed package from a seed company we purchase from But what an excellent surprise! High producing indeterminate plant with medium sweet tomatoes, one of the highest producing tomato plants we grew in 2024. (20 seeds per pack).
black strawberry - this is a new SCG favorite! seeds can be purchased at Bakercreek our favorite seed company. we’re including it in our seed collection since it is such an excellent variety and a new staple in our garden. high producing, sweet, stays firm off the vine for a very long time. one of the most beautiful tomatoes we’ve grown. indeterminate. (20 seeds per pack).
sweet 100 (cherry) - is a super sweet small hybrid cherry tomato variety, we’ve joked it should have been named sweet 1000 the plant is so productive. it is another variety that is an excellent extended season tomato plant. indeterminate. (30 seeds per pack).
